1144 Hampden Street Fire

Here's a few photos of yesterday's fire at 1144 Hampden Street in Holyoke. The photos were emailed to me by good friend, and great Holyoke conversationalist, Glenn Sullivan. They were taken by Lenny Los.

that's too bad, it looks kinda like it was a unique looking house...

It broke my heart when I saw this was the place that caught fire. I drove by it the other day just after the fire. I love octagon houses. Any idea of the history of it?

at one time it was occupied by some kind of church unknown orgin lived on waldo st. a long time ago we thought of it as a cult but we were young seemed weird.

Great photos of this wonderfully preserved house -before fire- on the octagon Inventory Website. Along with hundreds of other octagon houses.
